Cleared for Takeoff: It’s Time to Fly

Dig out your passport, download Duolingo, and start the search for a comfortable pair of walking shoes. Our Dream Vacation grant program application is now open.

If you’re a young adult with breast cancer ready to enter a long-distance relationship with your doctor’s office, we want to help. Share your story with us by applying for our Dream Vacation grant program, and you and your travel companion of choice (#breastfriends) could be selected to jet set on a vacation worth up to $15,000.

Aren’t you ready to say “tata for now,” to routine and join us on an adventure? Take the next step and submit your application today.

We lose a lot to young adult breast cancer - siblings, spouses, friends, a sense of normalcy. Breast cancer takes a lot, and when we lost Lisa Marzullo in 2020, we started to wonder what we could do to give back in her honor.

Today, the Lisa Marzullo Fly Again Foundation grants Dream Vacations to young adults with breast cancer.

Since our inception, we’ve sent three badass women and their travel companion of choice around the world with one goal: To give a little hope when faced with a breast cancer battle.

With the support of our friends, family, and donors, we Give Flight to the Fight against breast cancer.

"It was good to feel like a normal girl after months and months and months of being a cancer patient.”

Two Breast Cancer Fighters Set to Soar in 2024

We are thrilled to announce the 2024 Lisa Marzullo Fly Again Foundation Dream Vacation Grant recipients. Yes, you read that right - TWO recipients! Meet Jessenia Cisneros and Taryn Lloyd:

Jessenia, 33, has Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, and is ready to get her “wings back” after having reconstructive surgery. She’ll head to the serenity and beauty of Hawaii with her mother Rosalia, a two-time cancer survivor, and Jessenia will have the chance to meet her "soul sister" who has been a major sense of strength throughout her breast cancer battle.

Taryn, 34, first had concerns about a lump when she was 25 years old, but her doctors dismissed her, saying she was “too young.” Now, she’s fighting Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma ER+, but that won’t stop her from flying again. She and her boyfriend, Jake, are already chanting, “We’re going to be in Iceland in less than a year!”

Thank you to all of the 2024 applicants who shared their breast cancer journey with us. And this year was no different than the last - the average age of our applicants is 35 highlighting the fact that breast cancer isn't just a concern for those over 40. Because of this, we ask that you donate $35 today and help us make more Dream Vacations happen for young adults battling breast cancer.

Runway is closed for new applications.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the Dream Vacation applicants. Your stories have touched us deeply, reaffirming the importance of our mission. Granting the next Dream Vacation is a responsibility we embrace with the utmost dedication.

Our review committee dives deep into each application, carefully considering the Lisa Marzullo spirit, the passion behind the Dream Vacation request, and a captivating companion story. It is important to us that every aspect reflects our commitment to help young adults with breast cancer fly again.
